How San Antonio Epoxy Flooring Pros Works

San Antonio Epoxy Flooring Pros puts resin floor systems on concrete. That covers garages, flake and metallic interior floors, polyaspartic coatings, shops and commercial spaces, and outdoor slabs such as patios and pool decks across San Antonio and the towns around it. The name says where we work. It is not a claim about rank or credentials. What we can promise is a clear process, and this page lays it out.

Why the slab comes first

In South Texas, most coating failures start before the first coat is mixed. The usual causes are a slab that is pushing moisture up from below, a surface that was etched or rolled instead of ground, or resin applied on a muggy morning when the concrete was close to the dew point. Sun is the other big factor here. A west-facing garage door, a pool deck in full afternoon light or a covered patio that catches low evening sun all need a topcoat that holds its color under UV. So the system gets picked only once the floor has been inspected and tested, never ahead of that.

How a job runs

  • Visit and measure. We come out, measure the space and look at how it is used: cars, a boat on a trailer, a workshop, a home gym, foot traffic, forklifts.
  • Test. We take moisture readings on the concrete and note any cracks, spalling, low spots, oil, old paint and sealers.
  • Quote in writing. The quote we hand you is on paper and lists which system we chose, how many coats it gets, what prep is included and how long it cures before you can walk or park on it.
  • Grind. A diamond grinder cuts the surface open, giving the primer clean, sound concrete to absorb into. Edges get ground too, not skipped.
  • Repair. Cracks, pits and chipped control joints are filled and ground flush.
  • Coat. Before every coat we read the air and slab temperatures, compare them with the dew point, and shift the timing when the weather calls for it.
  • Walk through. When the floor is done, we go over it with you and explain how long to wait before light use and before parking.

Lines we hold

We never quote a floor sight unseen. We never roll a coating over a slab that failed a moisture test without telling you what that means and what the options are. And we will not hide prep work inside a vague line item. If a floor needs an old coating stripped or a lot of crack repair, the quote says so.
