Floors for Selma's Business Corridor

Epoxy flooring in Selma has a strong commercial side. The Forum, an outdoor shopping center with about 110 shops, opened in 2000, and Retama Park, a horse-racing track, opened in 1995. Interstate 35 cuts through the south-central part of town with exits 173 and 174. Retail stockrooms, restaurant kitchens, service areas and stables all need floors that stand up to traffic, spills and frequent cleaning.

What commercial spaces need

A store floor and a garage floor are different jobs. For businesses, we look at:

Foot and cart traffic in aisles and stockrooms
Wet areas such as kitchens and wash bays, which need texture
Chemical exposure from cleaners, oils or animal care products
Downtime limits, since many shops cannot close for long

We can phase work after hours or over weekends so a business keeps operating.

Barns and animal areas

With a racetrack in town, equine spaces are part of the local picture. Tack rooms, wash racks and feed rooms benefit from a seamless, textured resin floor that resists moisture and cleans easily. We pick textures that give hooves and boots good grip.

A young, fast-growing town

Selma's population nearly doubled from 5,540 in 2010 to 10,952 in 2020, and the 2020 median age was 33.8. Many households live in newer subdivisions with attached garages. For them, chip flooring sealed under polyaspartic is a practical way to keep a busy garage clean.

Three counties, one city

Selma spans Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties, with City Hall in Guadalupe County. The settlement dates to 1847 and grew along the old San Antonio to Austin route, with a stagecoach stop built in 1849. The highway has always shaped the place, and today it brings the traffic that local businesses depend on.

Selma Questions

Can you coat a retail stockroom without closing the store?

Often, yes. We can schedule around business hours or coat one zone at a time, leaving the rest open for use. We will plan the phases with you.

What floor works in a restaurant kitchen?

Kitchens need a seamless, textured system that handles hot water, grease and daily cleaning. Urethane cement or thick epoxy with grit are common choices.

Can a resin floor go in a horse wash rack?

Yes, with a coarse texture for grip and a system made for constant water. We look at drainage and slope first.

Are residential garages in Selma part of what you do?

Yes. Many newer homes in Selma have attached garages that are a good fit for flake and polyaspartic systems.
